“Character” is developed by nurturance. It’s a lifetime process and it is not by any means a given. Moreover, building character is self work. In other words, it’s an inside job, a DYI. Building character is not gained by thinking about it or by willing it to occur and it’s always an unfinished job. Developing character is a moment by moment, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, and year by year process. The time element on character building is always in the here and now.

I’ve met my fair share of shady characters and I’ve had all the fun that I can stand being around them. I simply have no tolerance for any of them. I don’t care whether they’re male or female, what color they are, or what belief system they have. They’re not worth my time or energy. Give me someone who is honestly trying to better themselves and they want to do it for him or herself then that is a whole different matter altogether.  Together, we can build a relationship. However, never tell anyone everything you know or place all of your eggs in one basket.
