Tonight’s Bedtime Quote

“The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world.”

Bernstein was a great musician; I enjoyed his ‘Young People’s Concerts’ when I was a kid. Thanks for the quote.

There is great wisdom that musicians possess. I love ‘em all because if I hang around them long enough, I receive great food for thought from them. I think its in their soul more than others who aren’t musically inclined.

Bernstein is the bomb, that’s for sure and I’m happy to hear that you’ve been delighted with his works. As a grade school student, it was mandatory that we studied music history by attending orchestrated concerts including parlor music. It’s was an awesome experience that I wish all grade school children were afforded.
