A 15 year old boy confessed to accidentally starting the Buckweed fires that consumed 39,000 acres and destroyed 25 structures (15 homes) according to Santa Clarita Valley Life. Allegedly, the boy contacted the authorities a day and a half after he accidentally started the fire while playing with matches.
