I now realise (where I didn't really before) that our pets are unique individuals that depend on us and that 'relate' to us in ways they only know how. i now have two friend of 7 years - Harvey Wallbanger and Willy Swizzle - two Siamese cats, and....a labrador puppy is on the way.
