It’s appears that someone who shares the same server with us hit a granddaddy of  blogging jackpots insomuch that I was unable to post due to a high influx of surfers. Sometimes I could actually log on but when I did, I was greeted with nothing more than white pages in the dashboard. Tech support was able to logon but I sure couldn’t.  Other times, I wasn’t able to access the logon page. It too was nothing more than a white page and all I can think of would be the servers were being overly taxed. Furthermore there was nothing I could do about it but sit it out until an hour or so ago. I filed the whole experience under “lessons in patience and tolerance.”

Many thanks go to Victor, our Johnny on the Spot tech support fella.  He’s the calm in the storm whenever I find myself stressed and in need of a knowledgeable hand.

Life in an Illusion as it is yet many are still wrapped up in the disillusioned belief system of  “I think therefore it is.” Right, wrong or indifferent, people with think what they choose to think.  Furthermore, the poor man will wear that mantle throughout his time in office, I regret to say.

To date, both the ethernet cable and the phone line have been replaced. A new dsl/phone splitter along with a new phone system have also been ordered. Hopefully both will arrive this week sometime. Until then, Dale, Roy, sing it!

Award-winning psychiatrist Dr. Frederick Goodwin has been called down by Senator Chuck Grassley and others for possible drug-industry conflicts. Dr. Goodwin has spoken about a number of big issues in psychiatry on his NPR program “The Infinite Mind,” including a program where he said there was “no credible evidence” linking antidepressant use and suicide. But according to recently released records, Goodwin made at least $1.3 million from 2000 to 2007 giving marketing lectures for drugmakers. This includes $20,000 Goodwin received from GlaxoSmithKline, the maker of antidepressant Paxil, the same week he hosted that show on antidepressants and their link to suicide.
