Alfred Hitchcock Holocaust documentary: A timely reminder

by on Jan.14, 2011

Alfred Hitchcock was involved with the production of this 53-minute video documentary that the British government deemed too grisly to show the public after WWII.

It is indeed harrowing, showing as it does a lot of footage of what the Germans did to the Jews in concentration camps. The images are beyond shocking, but an important reminder of what can happen to civilized societies. Hitler began his evil by taking away civil liberties, turning democracy into dictatorship — as recounted by Naomi Wolf recently posted here.
