Afghanistan: Whose land is it anyway?
Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie‘s father, had the answer years ago. After he penned it, he then sang it to his audiences. It’s a song almost everyone has heard at least once or twice. And, in this particular performance, Arlo saw that his grand daughters had joined him on the stage alongside his daughter Sarah Lee and husband Johnny. Abe, their son, was all ready on stage. He was playing keyboard. Arlo then stopped midway through this performance in order to share a story that his father, Woody Guthrie, used to tell his audiences.
I chose this video for Music Monday in order to speak my piece in the place of the many others who agree that the people of the U.S. don’t want war with Afghanistan. America’s interference is wrong.
